Description

FDC-System

FDC-System is a developer and manufacturer of hardware and software systems for the safe support of pilots and the efficient allocation of airspace. The ultimate goal is safe airspace and autonomous flying, i.e. the establishment of a public, centrally managed airspace management system for rapidly growing individual air traffic. This is to be achieved by the efficient integration of different communication and control systems. IoT - Internet of Things (IdD) - enables, with the 4G Lte/5G data communication, the connection of the FDC-System with the airspace management system C.A.M.S. (Centralized Aerospace Management System).

Autonomous flying can only function from a single central control centre. Our Centralized Aerospace Management System (CAMS) will make this possible. CAMS coordinates airways and optimizes flight routes.

FDC-System is scalable in 2 phases:

Development of the hardware and programming of the software "CAMS" (Centralized Aerospace Management System). Winning the ESA incubation competition (ESA-BIC) at AZO in Oberpfaffenhofen proved that our idea met with great interest. The "Bayern Innovativ" grant is in the approval phase.

Phase 1

The FDC-System collision protection system for rotor blades of helicopters and drones consists of a unique combination of different technologies such as video, LiDAR and radar. LiDAR laser measuring instruments are increasingly being used in cars in the area of 3D space scanning, radar is used for distance control of approaching vehicles and video to identification of objects. These measuring sensors detect the distance of a flying object to an obstacle, as soon as there is a risk of collision, the system warns the pilot by means of an audio/video signal or steers autonomously. The system thus offers safety and protection against collisions. The aim of the FDC-System is to provide a cost-effective system for sale to a wide range of users. Each FDC-System device will be equipped with an e-SIM and will be part of the IoT (Internet of Things) infrastructure. According to current market studies and forecasts, the market potential can be estimated at over 2.51 billion euros. (helicopters, manned and unmanned drones).

Phase 2

C.A.M.S. (Centralized Aerospace Management System) will become the Digital Air Traffic Controller of the immediate future. The central server will subdivide the airspace and assign the fastest, most efficient and safest flight route to each flying object for the defined period of the flight.

SAR (search and rescue) will have priority over airspace and will be able to override all drone traffic. Registration with the C.A.M.S. system will provide an enormous increase in safety for drone manufacturers and help to regulate the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles. Air regulations can be included in C.A.M.S. and thus restricted areas such as nature reserves, human collections, military zones, private areas, etc., can be taken into account.

In phase 2 all FDC-System devices of the users will be retrofitted with mobile radio, in this phase a strategic cooperation with a mobile radio provider or mobile radio equipment supplier (Vodafone, Telekom, Siemens and Huawei, Nokia, etc.) will be aimed at.

The winning of the incubation competition of ESA (ESA-BIC) at AZO in Oberpfaffenhofen has proven that our concept has met with great interest. Representatives of Airbus, ESA, AZO, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and DLR sit on this examination board.
